Mission Statement

Gems for Gems is committed to ending the cycle of domestic abuse by focusing on the economic recovery and empowerment of survivors.

Our Scholarship Program, HOPE’S CRADLE, Ambassador Program and more, are solution-focused and provide high, transformational impact to survivors of abuse.

Vision Statement

Gems for Gems is aware of the increasing need for action in the domestic abuse sector as the number of victims continues to climb.

Our organization is focused on scaling our current initiatives, remaining open to the community’s needs, and remaining nimble enough to continue to pivot through times of transition.

We are committed to continuing to work with the community to save and enhance the lives of survivors of all ages and backgrounds. Together we will always be stronger and create the change we want to see in the world.

In the spirit of our efforts to promote reconciliation, we acknowledge the traditional territories and oral practices of the Blackfoot, the Tsuut'ina, the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, the Métis Nation Region 3, and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

We also respectfully acknowledge that the province of Alberta is comprised of Treaty 6, Treaty 7, and Treaty 8 territory, the traditional lands of First Nations and Métis peoples.
